ATHENS, Greece, March 20, 2024 -- Philadelphia Greek-German Society presents The Perfect Gyros, an exhibition of 30 vintage black and white images shot in 1970s Greece by German photographer Martin Muntenbruch. Each photo is paired with a poem by Kyrian Corona. The photos and poems will appear in the official exhibition book "The Perfect Gyros."

Join us for this exceptional journey back in time, into a world that’s as wonderful as a perfect Gyros. The evening will include a champagne toast, Greek meze and beverages for purchase, book signing, poetry reading, cool music, and great vibes.

MARTIN MUNTENBRUCH

Martin Muntenbruch is a German artist and photographer who began as a painter. He grew up in the US and later worked in Germany, Greece, and France for various fashion magazines and ad agencies. Martin is known for his beguiling black and white portraits and candid street photography, capturing the raw essence of his subjects from unexpected points of view.

KYRIAN CORONA

Kyrian Corona is an American writer working in Los Angeles, Paris, and Athens. Her poetry is informed by her passion for existential philosophy and cultural history, along with a subtle sense of humor. Kyrian’s short works are often written in the form of questions that challenge the reader to draw their own conclusions.
